Unresponsive Touch on Android

At times you may encounter an unresponsive touch on your Android device.

This is not application specific. It happens in any application.

If this happens to you, simply turn your device off, then on again.

What happens is that for some reason your touch gets registered then it holds there. Subsequent touches don’t work properly, so you can’t zoom or do much.

This problem drills down to the API level in Android and then to the actual hardware.

The cause is perhaps some dirt or moisture on your finger, or it’s raining, or something else that contacts the surface of your device’s touch screen.

Just turn it off, then on again, and you should be good to go. If not, reboot. If you’re not happy there, then you have a different issue. Keep looking, and good luck! 🙂
