Silk Road Judge Doxxed and MSM Lies About it (REDACTED)

REDACTED: My hosting provider has stated that they do not want to host the kind of content to which the US Marshals Service has objected (dox). There is nothing illegal about the content, and they recognise that. However, they are a private company, and they do get to run their business how they wish to.

As such, I have made the original post private and out of reach of the public; it will remain private. However, in the interests of keeping my original point about Ars Technica lying, I am copying a redacted version of the post below.

Nothing in the redacted portions contains any kind of threat. The redacted portions only have information about the judge. All the evidence to show that Ars Technica is wildly exaggerating is available, though not with that 100% degree of transparency that I had originally intended. Since you can verify this for yourself, my point still stands: Ars Technica published demonstrably false information.

The original post is below with redactions to remove the content that was objected to.

A recent article in Ars Technica points out that the Silk Road judge has been doxxed, and also claims that there are death threats against her. Problem is, there are no death threats against her.

The federal judge overseeing the Silk Road case against Ross Ulbricht has been subject to a death threat, and apparently she had her private information exposed on a “Hidden Wiki” website accessible only via Tor-equipped browsers. The same information is available on the open web through at least one website that pulls information from the Tor network.

However, the original wiki article (.onion link) doesn’t support that. Here’s the text of the complete article without formatting or embedded links:

Dox – Katherine Bolan Forrest (Silk Road Judge)
Jump to: navigation, search

http://freeross.org/ – Please donate to the official legal defense fund of the Ulbricht family.
Who is Judge Katherine Forrest?
Judge Katherine Forrest

Katherine Bolan Forrest is the judge who is unfairly ruining Ross Ulbricht’s life and chance for a fair trail. In case you are unaware of her, she was the Judge who “Rejected Every Defense Argument In The Silk Road Trial” [ Clearnet link! ]

Can Ulbricht really be accused of running a drug-selling conspiracy when he (ALLEGEDLY) merely ran a website that made the narcotics sales possible? And can he be charged with money laundering when bitcoin doesn’t necessarily meet the requisite definition of money?’ According to Forrest’s latest ruling, yes and yes. She rejected every argument made in the defense’s motion, starting with the idea that Ulbricht had merely provided an innocent platform for hosting the Silk Road’s illicit e-commerce, just as eBay might occasionally host illegal content without its knowledge.

Justice is not being served, Ross Ulbricht is a hard working honest man who is now a fall guy that the US government decided to choose because he had a large amount of bitcoins, a currency they are doing everything in their power to make illegal.

I can also get information on all of this lady’s relatives and maybe some of her close friends, so expect more releases over doxbin and this wiki. For right now just steal her identity and send her gifts in the mail 😉 Expect phone numbers and relatives SSNs and complete doxes in a future release.

Oh, and maybe someone should attempt a Swat [ Clearnet link! ] just to put this bitch in her place. Just please don’t be an idiot and fall for that “Tor SWATing Service” scam going around. Oh and Katherine, don’t be surprised when you and all your relatives get woken up in the middle of the night by a swat team with assault rifles pointed in your face and helicopters shining search lights into your windows. Or when someone close to you opens up a letter in the mail one day and it happens to contain anthrax 🙂

Just before the dox, this part:

Without further ado, fuck this stupid bitch and I hope some drug cartel that lost a lot of money with the seizure of silk road will murder this lady and her entire family: http://doxbinzqkeoso6sl.onion/doxviewer.php?dox=Judge_Katherine_Forrest

Certainly wishes her ill will, but it isn’t a death threat. Or, it’s about as much of a threat as, “I hope you get hit by a bus,” is a threat. i.e. It’s not.

At the bottom, the part about swatting isn’t a death threat, unless she believes that it is the job of SWAT teams to break into houses and murder people. Well, that actually does have some credibility, but no credibility in the legal arena, so I don’t think she could consider that a death threat.

The part about anthrax pertains to people close to her, so it isn’t a death threat against her. But obtaining weapons-grade anthrax is nearly impossible without stealing it from a bio-weapons lab. So, the anthrax wishes aren’t really credible. If it were ricin, that would be entirely credible.

Ars Technica isn’t merely distorting the truth – they are lying. And they even posted a screenshot of the page that anyone can check to see that they are lying.

Here’s a better screenshot. Click for a larger version.

REDACTED

If they wanted to lie about it, they should have left out the screenshot.

The brazen, bold-faced lies coming out of the MSM presstitute dino-media are really just over the top. They make it readily possible to verify that they are lying right in the same article.

Why?

Because 2 + 2 = 5 and 4 and 3 all at the same time in their twisted, Orwellian doublethink world.

UPDATE 1 (2014-11-19): Saturday November 15th Cynic.me was taken offline for this post (see here), but brought online again with this post being password protected. I’ve finally been able to talk to the manager who took the site offline and we’ve agreed to put the post back online until we can talk again after he consults with his legal department. He said will get back to me in a couple days. Cross your fingers for freedom of speech and transparency. Or bury your head in the sand and scream about how censorship and opacity makes us all “safe”…

UPDATE 2 (2014-11-19): I’ve received an email from the manager. It was much quicker than anticipated.

I have had my executives look at the case this afternoon. They have expressed their concerns and would like the content removed from the website. Regardless of whether or not its legal or freedom of speech they do not want to host this kind of material. We ask you that you kindly remove the content from the publicly facing website. Please reply to this case directly if you have questions or concerns and I can follow up with you directly.

As such, this post is now being made private again as I don’t want to be bothered with the hassles of moving web sites, etc.

US Marshals Service Selling 50,000 Stolen Bitcoins

The US Marshals Service is auctioning off 50,000 stolen bitcoin that they looted from Ross Ulbricht.

US Marshals Service Selling 50,000 Stolen Bitcoins

US Marshals Service Selling 50,000 Stolen Bitcoins

Here’s a screenshot of the web page where they’re looking for people to sell their stolen property.

Criminality out in the open

Criminality out in the open

No convictions in yet, but still, they’re flogging off what they’ve stolen.

For those interested in what “steal” means:

What is stealing?

What is stealing?

What the US Marshals Service has done meets the definition of (for the transitive verb) #1, the intransitive verb’s #1 definition, and the noun form’s #1 definition.

While the web pages does say that Ross has agreed to this, it is very difficult to take that seriously as he is clearly under duress.

In this order, both the United States and Ross William Ulbricht agreed that “the United States, in its sole discretion, may sell any portion or all of these bitcoins, on a date or dates and in a manner to be determined by the Government.”

Yeah. Very believable.

The outright criminality of the FBI and US Marshals Service is mind-numbingly bold. The courts are complicit in the criminality, and too few people are speaking up to hold these thugs accountable for their crimes.

US Marshal Shuts Down Cynic.me for Security Theatre

So Deputy United States Marshal Criminal Investigator Maxime Vales (or one of his criminal cohorts) violated the TERM & CONDITIONS for the use of this site to view this (now password protected) page:

http://cynic.me/2014/10/24/silk-road-judge-doxxed-and-msm-lies-about-it/

He then contacted my Canadian hosting provider about it and had them take my site down today. (I’ve since gotten it back up, obviously!)

The post is about an Ars Technica article that falsely claims that this article (.onion link requires TOR) contains death threats against Katherine Bolan Forrest, who is the judge in the “Silk Road” case against Ross Ulbricht. There is no death threat in there. It’s not nice, but it isn’t a death threat either. Ars Technica lied.

For the sake of ease, completeness, and transparency (something that is completely foreign to government), I posted the entire unredacted, uncensored article (it’s not hard to find – more info below). This seems to have pissed off the US Marshals who sent this to my hosting provider:

Please be advised that the personal security of a United States Marshals Service protected person has been threatened by way of dox. United States District Court Judge Katherine Bolan Forrest’s restricted personal identifiable information, in violation of the Court Security Act of 2007 has been made public on the below listed website that is connected to GoDaddy as the sponsoring registrar. I am requesting that this restricted personal information be immediately removed from the website in order to ensure that no further threats to the security of Judge Forrest are carried out. I am also requesting that a representative from the legal department contact me as soon as possible regarding this sensitive matter.

This is nothing more than security theatre and scare-mongering. If anyone were to do anything to that judge, it would already have happened.

The original dox (.onion link requires TOR) link from the wiki site now returns a 404, but the dox archive (.onion link requires TOR) is still up, and the dox can be found here (.onion link requires TOR).

None of these things are difficult to find. Whether or not I publish the information is completely irrelevant to the security of the judge. Like, FFS… Justin Bieber has dox published (.onion link requires TOR), and he’s still alive!!! There are probably a lot more crazies out there that want him dead.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

I have made it explicitly clear that nobody in any government position is welcome at Cynic.me. That includes US marshals.

Unless Maxime Vales is psychic, I really have no clue how he could possibly abide by the T&C and know what was on that page, or any page at Cynic.me for that matter.

CENSORSHIP & CHILLING EFFECTS

There is no law against publishing publicly available information, which the information at the links above is.

This does nothing to protect the judge at all as I’ve outline above just how simple it is to find the information. A blog dedicated to technology, voluntaryism, and personal points of interest that has near zero readership except for a few popular posts isn’t going to make the smallest impact at all.

This is merely overreach and an attempt to scare me and others from publishing information that the US police state finds inconvenient.

If this can happen to me, it can happen to you. Whether or not you agree with anything I say isn’t particularly relevant. The point to free speech is to tolerate dissenting opinions.

HE SHOULD SIMPLY HAVE CONTACTED ME!

Maxime Vales is really a bit of a douche. Instead of contacting me and asking nicely, he went nuclear to have my site taken down.

But I most certainly would have taken it down had he just asked. Albeit, I would have to charge him a reasonable service fee. I think 144,341 bitcoins plus an additional 29,659 bitcoins as an “administrative fee” would be reasonable. (Ross certainly wouldn’t need to worry about paying for his defense anymore.)

WHAT TO DO?

Well, I certainly don’t want armed thugs harassing me for publishing publicly available information, so I’ve password protected the page for the moment. I’m a bit worried that the 8 character, lower case password might be easy to guess. Nah. I’m not worried. I’m sure it’s just fine.

If anyone has any good information, my ears are open.

DOUCHEBAGGERY

Now, I know that some people will say that it’s douchey to post dox information. Perhaps it is. But it’s more important to be open, transparent, and complete.

The point of my blog post was to point out blatant lies in the presstitute corporate-whore dinosaur lamestream media. They regular twist facts and often blatantly lie. This was one of those cases.

The issue was about a darkweb wiki post. I posted the entire article along with a link to it. Everything could be verified by checking my own post, and by checking the original.

You see, some of us out here actually believe in free speech (even speech that some people don’t like) and honesty, which we don’t get from the lamestream media.

I’m not interested in shining a flashlight on lies if I can shine a spotlight.

Remember:

THE FBI DOXED ROSS ULBRICHT FIRST!

Cheers,

Ryan

European Central Bank Sets Negative Interest on Deposits Less Than 1 Week After Bilderberg Conference

European Central Banksters (criminals) logo

European Central Banksters (criminals) logo

The Bilderberg conference ended less than a week ago and now the European Central Bank (ECB) has set negative interest rates on deposits (0.1%). Here are a few articles on it:

  1. Draghi Takes ECB Deposit Rate Negative in Historic Move
  2. Bitcoin Price Turns Upwards with European Banking Negative Interest
  3. ECB imposes negative interest rate
  4. European Central Bank Institutes Negative Interest Rate

The 2014 Bilderberg conference ended on June 1st. The ECB was represented there by Benoît Coeuré, a member of the Executive Board of the ECB.

Coincidence? Well, for the negative interest rates to be set up, I’d imagine it would take them longer than 1 week. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had prepared it, taken it to Bilderberg and talked it over there to mitigate the sticker shock for keeping savings in the bank.

The amount of deposits by EU banks at the ECB is around EUR 29 billion (as pointed out by the Economic Policy Journal – link #4 above) while the Fed has trillions (#4).

So the question is whether or not this is simply a small, dry-run of negative interest rates on deposits to see if it will run under the radar well enough to implement on a larger scale, e.g. at the Fed or at commercial banks. We’ll see.

But either way, conspiracy or not, or dry-run or not, this is a seismic shift in the methodology and manner of flow of money through the banking system.

The practical side of this is that it now costs money to save money. i.e. It’s like having a paper cup with a hole in the bottom; if you’re thirsty, you’d better drink fast. Or in other words, the banksters are trying to destroy your ability to save.

Did you still need a reason to buy bitcoins? This is it. Get some of your money into bitcoins, because that is what the banksters can’t steal.

And that, kids, is what we call watching history in the making… (Not all history is good…)

CommunityCoin (COMM) – Should be interesting…

CommunityCoin is a new coin with a very different distribution. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Here’s a decent article on it:

http://www.cryptoarticles.com/crypto-news/2014/4/14/communitycoin-pos-for-the-community-by-the-community

The web site for the coin is pretty spartan, but it gets the point across. Besides, most coin activity takes place in forums, exchanges, troll boxes, IRC, etc.

http://www.communitycoin.info/

The Bitcoin Talk thread is here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=558319

It’s only being given out to 500 people, so we shall certainly learn a bit about distribution and the network effect. FairCoin (FAC) seems to be doing pretty well, and far better than I’d anticipated. So there is very real potential for COMM.

The Pledge of Resistance – Saul Williams – Anarchast Intro

0

Posted by Cynic | Posted in Anarchism / Voluntaryism, Awake, Bitcoin, Philosophy | Posted on 04-04-2014

I remember walking down the street in downtown Gangnam many years ago and someone trying to give me a pamphelt with “The Pledge of Resistance” and “Not in Our Names” on it. I took the pamphlet, glanced at it, and figured it was some nonsense socialist garbage. I wasn’t interested in yet another “save the children” bit of nonsense that was “probably” the exact opposite of what it purported to be. I already “knew” that whatever cause was being pimped out was 99% likely to be doing the exact opposite.

After all, aren’t all the “activists” socialist assholes? I don’t know what I did with it. I probably threw it out.

But I was wrong and I missed out then.

Jeff Berwick used that as the intro to his Anarchast show on Youtube. It’s powerful.

Pure, power.

SAUL WILLIAMS PLEDGE OF RESISTANCE

We believe that it is our
responsibility to resist the injustices
done by our government,
in our names.

Not in our name
will you wage endless war
there can be no more deaths
no more transfusions
of blood for oil.

Not in our name
will you invade countries
bomb civilians, kill more children
letting history take its course
over the graves of the nameless.

Not in our name
will you erode the very freedoms
you have claimed to fight for.

Not by our hands
will we supply weapons and funding
for the annihilation of families
on foreign soil.

Not by our mouths
will we let fear silence us.

Not by our hearts
will we allow whole peoples
or countries to be deemed evil.

Not by our will
and Not in our name.

We pledge resistance.

We pledge alliance with those
who have come under attack
for voicing opposition to the war
or for their religion or ethnicity.

We pledge to make common cause
with the people of the world
to bring about justice,
freedom and peace.

Another world is possible
and we pledge to make it real.

The music in the Anarchast intro really adds a lot to that. It’s really well done.

I recently won the AllCrypt t-shirt slogan contest. I put forth 43 different slogans with several of them being variations of quotes from that poem by Saul Williams. I’m very happy to say that AllCrypt has chosen several of the entries I submitted, and one of them was based on that poem by Saul Williams:

Another world is possible, and we pledge to make it real.
– Saul Williams, The Pledge of Resistance

That’s some pretty powerful stuff.

The winner blog post is here:

https://www.allcrypt.com/blog/2014/04/winner-of-the-t-shirt-slogan-contest/

They’ve chosen 4 of my entries (some edited):

Silly: Mega Doge Sex Nuts. Yeah, we have those.

Drugs: Wanna legally buy some POT and METH with Bitcoin? (Tweaking wording before it goes to print. We’ve gone through 8 revisions. We’re indecisive)

Political: Another world is possible, and we pledge to make it real. – Saul Williams, The Pledge of Resistance

Suggestive: We do it DOGE style.

Now, I really like all of those. And they’re going to send me a t-shirt, so I have to choose one… That’s a tough call. I want to promote crypto. I want to promote so many things, but to choose just one… I have to go with #3 there. Saul Williams has such a beautiful piece of spoken poetry there.

I don’t want to just make people laugh; I want to make them think.

As Jeff Berwick would say…

Peace, love, and anarchy.

Crypto Wallet Backup – Adds Testnet and CONF files

This is an updated version of the GUI version of Crypto Wallet Backup.

It adds in 2 things:

  • Testnet folders
  • *.conf files

There are no other functional changes.

If you use testnet, and need your testnet wallet, then this is what you want.

If you also want to back up your *.conf files, then this is what you want.

I added these because I lost a truckload of testnet coins that I needed for some other software development. They took me a good deal of effort to get, and thanks to a software blunder… POOF they went! Sigh… Lesson learned… again… the hard way… as always…

I added in *.conf files because, well, might as well do that too as I’m sure some people might find it useful.

crypto-wallet-backup-add-testnet-conf

The 2 new options are obvious.

Download Crypto Wallet Backup v1.1 < Program Only

Download Crypto Wallet Backup v1.1 source < Source Code Only (not elegant, but effective)

The program is the same otherwise… well, I did freeze the form while the backup occurs, but it unfreezes once the backup is completed. That’s the only other change, and it’s only cosemetic. So, for more information, check out the original post here.

Hopefully that will help save some pain for someone.

Cheers,

Ryan

Huntercoin: Mithril Edition HOT TIPS!

0

Posted by Cynic | Posted in Bitcoin, Games, Software | Posted on 14-03-2014

Tags: , ,

CTRL + H: This toggle visibility of all the floating windows. Use it to quickly clear the map for a bigger view.

CTRL + F: What is your FPS? This is displayed in the upper-left corner.

Zoom in to save resources: It is likely that most players can ignore this tip, but for those on older hardware or with low end video hardware… The Huntercoin map is very large with 252,004 cells and tens of thousands of hunters and a lot of coins. Displaying that amount of data takes computer resources (CPU & RAM). If you are on an older machine you can conserve resource by limiting the amount of time you spend zoomed out. You can also monitor how much power is being used with CTRL + F.

Plot interceptions: Use the “Show Direction” button to show you enemy paths. Then plot your intercept path by paying close attention to the numbers on the path lines. This can give you laser precision when hunting. However, make sure to check back that they haven’t changed their path! Also, consider that moves can take 1 or 2 blocks to get into the blockchain, so take “pending” time into account as well.

Use many teams: If you only play 1 team, you’re going to cry from boredom. Use as many teams as you feel comfortable with. You only need to make more than 1 HUC per team to be guaranteed profitable. Good players that make several hundred HUC a day use many teams.

Use many color teams: Don’t limit yourself to 1 color. You will not do well. Use more than 1 color, and use them in tandem with each other.

Get enough HUC: When you buy a few HUC, get a bit extra. Very long moves can cost you 0.005 HUC. Buy that tiny bit extra and save yourself some time so that you can make those long moves and come back later to check on them. You can buy HUC at https://www.poloniex.com/exchange/btc_huc. (Buy now while it’s cheap!)

LEAVE HUNTERCOIN RUNNING!: Unless you have a good reason to shut down Huntercoin, just leave it running. You will not need to wait for the blockchain to sync the next time you get back to playing then. If you do shut down Huntercoin, you will need to sync the blockchain again, and depending on how many blocks there are to sync, it could take a while. Huntercoin, like other crypto currencies, does not take up a lot of resources, and is better left running than shut down.

Your other option (and the best option) is to uncheck the “Restart Huntercoind process when game starts” and “Kill Huntercoind process at the end of the game” options in the settings. (Press the ESC key for the settings.) This will keep the daemon running and keep the blockchain sync’d for you. You can close Huntercoin: Mithril Edition, and then later restart it with the blockchain up to date.

Run a Virtual Machine (VM) and use multiple monitors: If you have multiple monitors, there’s no reason why you can’t run and watch both the MM client and the QT client at the same time. Get a VM running and run one of them in there.

Check the forum threads regularly: The Huntercoin: Mithril Edition is constantly undergoing changes with new features and improvements. (Some of the docs are bound to be wrong because of this.) Make sure to check the [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin – Mithril Edition Client forum thread in the Bitcoin Talk Forums whenever you have a question.

If you play Huntercoin in multiple locations with multiple computers: This has nothing to do with Huntercoin: Mithril Edition, but, it’s a solid tip… You can actually send your hunter teams between wallets! Use the “Config” in the QT client and enter an address from your other wallet into the “Transfer” text box. You must click “Go” for the transfer to take place, and you will also need to wait for the blockchain to pick up that command.

DEVELOPERS LOVE FEEDBACK!!!: Make sure to say “thank you” to Mithril Man at a minimum. Leave some constructive comments on what you like in his client, and leave some well thought out ideas for him as well if you have any. If you can spare a few HUC, make sure to tip him because nothing says “thank you” louder than a few coins! You can donate a few HUC to Mithril Man at this address: HMSCYGYJ5wo9FiniVU4pXWGUu8E8PSmoHE

For ADVANCED Players

Do NOT try any of these if you do not know what you are doing.

Set the datadir: For advanced users, you can set the folder that Huntercoin uses as the data directory. Normally the data directory is in %appdata%\huntercoin. The “-datadir=C:\Path\to\Huntercoin\data\folder” command can be set in the settings dialog, or can be set in the huntercoin.conf file as “datadir=C:\Path\to\Huntercoin\data\folder”. Use quotes for the full path if there are spaces.

Use a RAM disk: For advanced, advanced users, if you’re looking for further performance boosts, you can set the data directory to a RAM disk. However, ensure that your RAM disk is properly flushing memory to disk or you may lose data. DO NOT USE THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

Set the data directory to an SSD: If you have an SSD, use it for the data directory. You will get a performance boost.

For ALL Players

HAVE FUN!

You can get more information about Huntercoin at the official Huntercoin web site or in the official Huntercoin Bitcointalk Forum thread.
